Our mission and purpose
StarTrak Academy is an educational enterprise dedicated to help people experience and absorb the wonder and beauty of the cosmos. Expert volunteers teach students a general understanding of astronomy and its subspecialties such as cosmology, astrophysics, space exploration, and planetary science through the application of telescopes, visual observation, astro-imaging, and digital technology. The key to unlocking the mysteries of the cosmos is knowing how to track the stars.

Organized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. StarTrak is funded by tax-deductible donations, philanthropic foundations, and corporate sponsorship.

StarTrak Academy is governed by a three-member board of directors. Appointed by the board, the chief executive officer (CEO) is responsible for planning activities and courses, selecting experts to teach them, and organizing students.
